These include In Home and Community Supports, Community Participation Supports ,Life sharing, Supported Living. Our services help people who live at home and in the community in their own apartments, including promoting independence, working on personal goals, helping the individual participate in community activities and general in-home daily tasks.

The Director of Community Programs – This role includes overseeing ODP and OVR community-based services that focus on inclusion for people with disabilities. The general territory of this position includes those counties considered to be NEPA, including Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wyoming, Columbia/Montour, and Susquehanna Counties. The position will work an assigned caseload and supervise the Supervisor/Case Managers assigned in the territory listed. These services generally include In Home and Community Supports, Companion Services, Community Participation Supports, Supported Living, Supported Employment, as well as others that are offered through ODP and OVR. These services help people who live at home, in the community and in their own apartments, including promoting independence, working on personal goals, helping the individual participate in community activities and general in-home daily tasks.

Responsibilities include:

The person in this position will be responsible to:

*Supervise program staff under your direction, including part time and full time DSP’s and Job Coaches and Supervisor/Case Managers. Hire, train, and supervise staff as needed.

*Manage compliance matters related directly to programs, such as managing client waiver files.

*Oversee strategic delivery of programs.

*Ensure supervision of programs with regard to back up plans, 24-7 coverage’s, and fill in staff so that those we support always have staff when required.

*Serve as agency liaison to outside entities with regard to clients in programs, in such areas as receiving referrals, communicating with ODP and Support Coordinators. Attend ISP’s, Intake Meetings, and other meetings as necessary.

*Manage and control program budgets.

*Work collectively with billing, training, QA, Compliance, and administration to effectively deliver services and collectively ensure compliance at all times.

*Serve as a member of the senior leadership team of the agency.

*Attend agency meetings as requested; host agency related meetings as appropriate.

*Attend external events for the purpose of program development.

*Person must be willing to work flexible hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant MUST have a minimum of three years of experience as a manager in an organization providing residential or community-based services for individuals with an intellectual disability and/or autism, and a state qualified Bachelor’s Degree. Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, autism, or mental health disabilities preferred Excellent communication skills. Ability to obtain certifications as required by ODP. Position requires effective communication and presentation skills, computer knowledge, strong documentation and organizational skills. Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record.

Must Pass Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Check Clearances and not be excluded from State of PA Exclusion Lists.
